Faceting Cabbing Rough Gemstones

Wonderful... I've been looking for a website that will sell me uncut, natural gemstones for the longest and couldn't find the right keywords to use in my search. But... eureka ! I've found one and my creative spirit has just gone and run a muck, a shopping frenzy that is.

I love gemstone when they are close to their most natural state. here are some visuals of what I mean

I think there is something sexy and mysterious about a person who wears gemstones fashioned into a ring or pendant that hasn't been manipulated into shapes that are considered clean, cut and sharpened. Raw and dirty, uncut says "beauty by God".

Little Five Point... Atlanta Georgia

My Sister and I hanging out in a strip mall style commercial district 2 1/2 miles east of downtown Atlanta Georgia. Wonderful restaurants, retail stores, bars, Music venues and even a theatre company use to thrive in this area years ago, but now It is known as an alternative cultures haven and some local merchants have partnered to restore the area. Little Five points is also home to a large celebration every Halloween. Bands play in the square, local vendors sell arts and crafts, and the highlight of the celebration is the Little Five Points Halloween Parade. The parade features local celebrities, bikers in costume, live music, hearses, several local marching bands, and many parade floats that are put together by community action groups and local businesses, it was my favorite time of the year to hang out there. One local retailer in particular was named Adama, and for some reason I can't seem to remember what the name of her shop was, but she offered custom made beadwork jewelry as well as prepared fruit and veggie smoothies and sandwiches.

Adama, I remembered to be a very petite woman with lots of her own beadwork worn from head to toe, I use to wonder if it took her longer to put on her jewelry then it was to dress herself every morning. She was very knowledgeable about gemstones and their spiritual and healing properties, and she would create some of the most beautiful pieces of work. Her creativity inspired me to do the same.

I love being able to see something come together, colors, sizes and shapes. I love big, bold and colorful, and for now it has become a passion. It was years after meeting Adama and seeing her creations that I decided to create my own pieces but I give her and my sister all the credit for lighting the fire.
